It’s out of focus, I know, but there was nothing I could do, the whole freaking world was out of focus. In my defence there were several things working against me while taking this photo. Like I was trying to make sure my eighteen-month old son didn’t have his face torched off by a gigantic sparkler. There was also a breeze.

Canada Day was Victor’s first firework experience, and he was amazed. Instead of going to the Fair Grounds like most of Vankleek Hill, we decided to park behind the new Vankleek Hill Collegiate Institute (high school). It was a great choice, the fireworks went off almost right on top of us. I kind of thought they were a little blurry though.
