Back Under Hawkesbury’s Big Top With ‘The Great Benjamins Circus’

The circus came back to Hawkesbury.

I took my oldest son to see ‘The Great Benjamins Circus’ (TGBC) back in the ‘before time’ of 2019 — it’s a circus troupe made up of performers from Cuba, Brazil, Mexico, Peru, and a few other places [About: link]. Victor had a great time, so this time we brought his little brother along…

Both boys had a lot of fun, Victor was hollering along with the Clowns, and Quintin was clapping at the acrobats. It was scaled down quite a bit from the 2019 version [Photos: link], but there were about 400 people in the audience for our show — we saw the second one of the day, and everyone seemed to have a great time.

…I have to remember for the next one to sit in the middle if I’m going to take photos. We were in the VIP section, along with about ten other people. Just like last time, I chose seats on the side, thinking that since it worked last time, it’ll work this time. Whoops.

This version used a different light setup, so my attempt to photograph the evening ended up mostly in blacked out pictures. I knew about fifteen minutes into the evening that I was pretty much wasting my time taking photos from where we were sitting but, honestly, I didn’t want to move the kids and, really honestly, I was just too lazy.

So. These are the best of the bunch. If you click on a photo, you’ll get the carousel going. No pressure.

…ps: God help the Benjamins if anyone from Marvel is reading this.
