Photos From Vankleek Hill’s 2025 Truck & Modified Tractor Pull & Show ‘n Shine: The Monster Truck Edition

I’m taking a quick break from literally four or five months of near-constant doomscrolling [link] on Facebook to belatedly post photos from this totally awesome Event hosted by the Vankleek Hill Agricultural Society [link] waaaaaay back in June.

This Monster Truck show was part of a larger Event called the ‘Vankleek Hill Truck Pull and Show ‘n Shine’ that’s been going annually for a bunch years now… I genuinely have no idea how many years this Event has been going on — for some reason in the marketing of Events in Vankleek Hill, the advertising rarely tells you how many years the Event has been going on for. I do know I’ve been taking photos of this yearly Event since 2019, and this was the first time I’ve seen Monster Trucks being a part of it.

…I’m really glad they included the Trucks this year because it was totally frigging awesome to have the opportunity to shoot this Event, plus I got paid for it as well. The Owner / Publisher of our local paper-of-record, The Review [link], contacted me after seeing me taking photos at the Event and asked for me to send him a bunch of my photos. One of them (I think it was the one at the top of this post) ended up on the front page, with another five or six in the inside pages [link]. The pay isn’t much, but it’s appreciated because it pays for my addiction to 2% Milk. Now you know my secret.

Anyway… there was a lot more to this Event, including shiny Big Rigs, lots of different sized trucks and heavily modified tractors pulling heavy stuff over long distances, plus a few thousand people wandering around Vankleek Hill’s Fair Grounds, all here for a loud time. Photos of all that will be Part Two of this post, coming soon… unless, of course, I start doomscrolling on Facebook again. In which I’ll be back in about five months.

So, if you’re down for it, go ahead and click on the first photo to get the carousel of mayhem going. Enjoy… it’s good to be productive again.
