So, last week I ordered some food from our local Chinese restaurant, the ‘Golden Dragon House’ [order here]… just my usual — two egg rolls, wonton soup, sticky white rice, and General Tso’s Chicken [wiki here] — because it doesn’t cost much, and it keeps me eating happily for a few days. They, of course, always toss in a bunch of ‘fortune cookies’ as well, they’re usually pretty generic, but this time it was unusually specific to how my day was going:

“Now is a good time to finish up old tasks.”

After eating that one, I opened the next one and found this piece of excellent advice:

“Don’t let others stop you from doing what you know is right”

You never mess with Fortunes. So, well, here we are, and I’ve decided to publish two more posts with a LOT of photos from the 182nd Vankleek Hill Agricultural Fair from August, 2025, on this site. I was thinking of stopping, but then the two mystical Fortunes said, quite clearly, that I have to keep this thing going until I get to the end. So here are my photos of motorcycle and snowmobile stunts, antique tractors pulling stuff, young adults playing beach volleyball, regular adults and their western horses, kids and their mini-horses, a dude and his sheep, and some 4H members and their heifers.
