This is my ninth, and last, post with photos from the 181st Vankleek Hill Agricultural Fair since the second week of December, 2025. The VKHFair took place waaaaaay back on the second weekend of August, but I’ve only recently been posting the photos because 1. it’s a lot of work to get a few hundred photos edited and ready with a copyright, and; 2. see number one.
I was invited by the Fair Organizers to be one of the Official Photographers of this past year’s Fair, in exchange for weekend passes for me and my two kids… so, maybe $180 or, at least, the cost of printing the actual tickets, and I got my own really cool lanyard. In total, over the 36-hours I spent wondering around with my camera, I shot 1800+ photos of the latest edition of the Fair — so it took some time to choose the ones that were in focus, then selecting the best of the rest, then I edited them down to roughly 800+, and gave those to the Fair People, who then posted the whole bunch of them on their Facebook Page [see them here].
I mostly take shots of Events in the region for free, then post the photos here and, most of the time, I’ll offer the photos to the Organizers for use on Facebook or their advertising. A recent example, would be an event at the Arbor Gallery [their homepage] just a few days ago. I took photos of a Vernissage featuring local artists, and they ended up all over their Facebook page [here], thankfully they posted a link back to here in their notes. Which was cool of them. I’ll probably post the shots here as well… now that I’m done with Fair Photos, I’ll definitely need to find more content somewhere.
So, yeah, if you have an upcoming Event you’d like photos of, let me know, if I’ve got the time, and you’re willing to give me free tickets, we’ll see what happens.
…anyway, this is it for Fair photos until next year, to see the rest of them just click here [181st VKH Fair Photos] — when you get back, just simply click on the first photo below to get the carousel started… comments are always welcome. Thanks for being here.
