This is the little Event that continues to grow… according to an article in The Review [here] written by organizer, Louise Sproule, the Event had 700 people visiting twenty-one fibre-friendly vendors on October 25, 2025, at the VKH Community Centre for the latest edition of the VKH ‘Fibre Frolic’.
…the ‘Frolic’ is an annual free event, featuring swatches, textiles, yarn, fabric, and all the necessary equipment for someone to get started in the fibre arts, as well as for experienced crafters, fibre artists, and needle workers. October’s event brought hundreds of pro’s and amateurs, and even IRL lurkers, to Vankleek Hill, and to the secondary fibre-art event at the nearby Arbor Gallery. With all the colours, this was a fun shoot.
Once again though, when advertising their Events, the organizers didn’t include how many events there have been previously, like it would be so simple to write ‘This is the 5th Annual Event’, but (other than the 181st VKH Fair) they don’t. I really don’t know if ‘Fibre Frolic’ is in it’s fourth-year, or its seven-hundredth. I do know it’s the second year in a row they’ve been big enough to fill the upstairs hall of the VKH Community Centre, and that’s pretty amazing for a Fibre-based Frolic.
…I suppose I could ask Louise directly, but that seems like a lot of work, and I’m not getting paid for this stuff.
Soooooo… please enjoy the photos below, and don’t forget to leave a comment… seriously, let me know what you think. And, if you know how many times this Event has occurred, just let me know. Thanks.

I have some friends who would go wild in a place like this.
