I love bits and pieces of every season. This piece of winter, the part where it gets cold enough where, if you were to fall down, you’d shatter like the T1000 in Terminator 2, happens to be my favourite part of this season.
But what I don’t like about winter is the continuous monotony of grey… don’t get me wrong, there are great shots to be taken during the winter — mostly reaction shots to the cold, then there’s the “kids playing on a rink” shots and the winter sunrises over a fresh sheet of perfect snow.
But, really, they’re all grey. Or maybe I can only see the grey… but, in my defence, that would be because there’s so freaking much of it. Everywhere.
So, for the next week or so, I’ll be posting shots of colour… because, otherwise, I think I’ll end up forgetting what colours the world can be.
This is a shot of flowers from a garden just up the road from my home that I took two summers ago… I don’t know what they’re called, but I’m pretty sure they’re yellow.

…this is green.
