My 250th Post Is All About The Destiny Of Flowers For Some Reason

“Several years ago I spent most of my nights taking photos of and for punk bands in Toronto. Now it’s flowers during the day. There are similarities between the subjects, like both will pay you about the same amount and, soon after forming, they’ll both break apart, wither and die. The biggest difference between the two is the amount of alcohol and ephedrine it takes to kill them.”

— ‘Finally flowers are interesting again’… something I wrote here a very long time ago [link]

Fall is coming soon… as the wasps are sucking the last bits of life from the flower’s stigma, the flower’s destiny is to die touched by many.

…pretty cool, eh? I just made that up.

This is my 250th post on this blog… I’ve been working as a volunteer WordPress content creator on this blog for almost 14-years now — my first post [link] was on December 8, 2010. I have yet to find way to make money off this thing.

…big sigh. I took these photos in my mother’s garden with my pocket-sized Canon SX720. A few days previous, I used my Nikon 5100 to take shots in the garden, but I had the settings all wrong and everything came out blurred. This time I made sure the settings were properly… set, I guess.

…anyways, if you’re down with it, just click on a photo to get the carousel going. As always, no pressure, just do what feels right.

  1. Beautiful, so beautiful, I loved your photographical eyes, and also their stories… In most of your photographs, your narrative part, I mean words and photographs are amazing. Thank you, Love, nia
