The best thing about flowers as a photography subject is eventually they die, which is when they become interesting. Like this ‘brown eyed susan’ being blown away like shredded paper in a storm.
Several years ago I spent most of my nights taking photos of and for punk bands in Toronto. Now it’s flowers during the day. There are similarities between the subjects, like both will pay you about the same amount and, soon after forming, they’ll both break apart, wither and die. The biggest difference between the two is the amount of alcohol and ephedrine it takes to kill them.
ha! love the comparison. I’ve been pulling out my old vinyl lately, and I’m bemoaning the fact that I never bought vinyl of the punk bands I listened to. Those pieces of plastic are long gone now.

…my vinyl collection included one ABBA album I bought for my mom (which she hated), a Proclaimers EP, and MARRS “Pump Up The Volume”, and not much else. I used to have a large stack of 45’s though. But I can’t remember any of them except “Arthur’s Theme (The Best That You Can Do)” by Christopher Cross.
None of this is something I talk about a lot.
