Another bug in my focal length

another Vankleek Hill garden

It’s the infinity effect I like most about the macro feature on my camera. Having to get within three inches of bugs like this in order to make the macro useful… not really on my list of favourite things about my camera. The focal plane (or focal length, I can never remember) is only, maybe, two inches wide in this shot. Everything else is blurred out, even though the distance from the part of the flower that’s in focus, to the part that’s not, is less than a foot. Me like.

A lot of the shots I took of this bush-like collection of flowers came out really cool, so I’ll probably post more… including one of the sunny side of the bush. The sunlight from a sunset really changes these flowers. There, I managed to get though an entire post without mentioning the Apocalypse.
