I’m trying to come up with regular features for the blog. This idea is called “me”. I don’t give it much of a chance of survival.

I like this shot because my hair looks clean, but mostly because of the light. It’s warm incandescent light in the foreground versus green fluorescent in the background, and the light we’re banning in favour of compact fluorescent bulbs wins every time. The ban is a crime against photography.

The light bulb, by the way, was invented by a Canadian. Tommy Edison bought the patent from Henry Woodward, and became the renowned liar we know him to be today. [link]
