The VKH Photo Club is giving away two tickets to this Saturday’s (totally sold out) Beau’s Oktoberfest festivities… because we’re givers. Or giv’rs. We’re all about the giving. Or giv’ring. Like, all day and all night. And the contest is so easy the only real criteria is that you’re breathing and / or human*.
Not only will there be craft beer from Ontario’s finest craft breweries, and food from Eastern Ontario’s best restaurants, and people walking around in lederhosen, but there’s going to be music from some very, very cool bands… including: Joel Plaskett Emergency, Tokyo Police Club, Rural Alberta Advantage, Radio Radio, Groenland, Zeus, The Strumbellas…
…and Walter Ostanek!
*All you have to do is: 1. send us the coolest photo** you’ve ever taken of Vankleek Hill. It can be of a person, place, thing, whatever, and from whenever.
Email the photo here: vkhphotos@gmail.com
2. Once you’ve sent the photo, ‘Like’ our Facebook page, and you’re in the draw, which will be held on Wednesday, October 1. The winner will be contacted the morning of Thursday, October 2.
After winning, the only two conditions are: you MUST have a great time, and; you have to take a LOT of photos, and share them with us.
HINT: there are two tickets, and only one winner. So get your friends to enter… maybe they’ll take you. You don’t have to tell them you’ve invited twenty other people, just saying.
And remember, the shot can be of anything — people, person, place, thing, garden, tree, animal, pet, event, sunset, sunrise… WHATEVER and from WHENEVER. That’s right, TIME HAS NO MEANING!!
**Thanks to Alyssa Dines for letting us publish her entry photo.
Here’s the fine print:
1. only people who have “Liked” our Facebook page can enter (so Like us, we’re cool)
2. you have to bring your camera to the event
3. you have to share the photos you take with us
4. you must have a great time
Names will be picked out of a hat on Wednesday, October 1. The winner gets two tickets to Saturday’s events. There will be more chances on our Facebook page to enter again and again as the draw gets closer.
