The Vankleek Hill Business & Merchants Association (VKHBMA) is putting on their first Photo Competition, and they’re calling it ‘Photo Vankleek Hill’. The theme is “My Hometown. Cherishing Heritage. Building our Future.”
It’s “a photo competition that invites photographers of all ages to share their very best photos of Vankleek Hill”.
All photographers, regardless of ability, are being asked to submmit their images between now and September 30th. The winning photos will be displayed at the Arbor Gallery & Cultural Centre for the week of October 12.
The categories are ‘Best Youth Entry (ages 18 under)’; ‘Best Landscape Entry (horizontal perspective, please)’; ‘Best Study in Contrasts’; ‘Best Night-Time Photo’; ‘Best Streetscape’, and; ‘Best Heritage Preserved’.
If you want to enter, you can submit two photos in each category. Just email your photos to vkhbma@gmail.com and put ‘PHOTO Vankleek Hill’ in the subject line along with the category for your entries… so “PHOTO Vankleek Hill Best Streetscape”, for example.
If you’ve got questions about the categories, and I know I do, you’re asked to email Louise Sproule by email at louise@thereview.ca
Entry into the contest is free. Good luck.
