The second rainbow is kind of faint, but it’s there. Vankleek Hill’s Main Street still looks pretty much the way it did 100-years ago, probably because it can be a real bitch trying to get a building permit around here. But there have also been more than a few local citizens who have appreciated the quality of the craftsmanship and aesthetics of the facades, and over the decades they’ve done a great job protecting the centre of town. The rest of Vankleek Hill’s mostly a mess, but this part is pretty. I took this shot in 2008, so I just checked to make sure, and things are exactly the same three years later.
