This photo really doesn’t have much of a connection to Vankleek Hill, other than it’s me taking the shot. This is Christine, we were roommates in Toronto for close to a year. We rented the basement of a large house in Rosedale — which, in the Torontonian dialect, means “the place across the bridge where rich white people live forever thanks to the mostly forced harvesting of organs from children born in Oshawa”.
It’s a very concise dialect.
It was just a quick one-off snapshot with my Big Boy camera, but I’ve always really liked this shot.
